At the beginning of this year, BGIS announced the acquisition of Texas based Petroleum Equipment Services (PES), and with that announcement, extended a warm welcome to 38 new team members. The opportunity this has created for both PES and BGIS to grow together as one team has been remarkable.

PES is a third generation, family owned business known for their excellence and quality in construction and fuel services. In order for the legacy of this business to carry on, the PES leadership team set a goal to continue to improve the levels of service, while expanding the service offering to include a broader geographic area.  As owners of PES, Nathan Pavlica and Dan Sechrist’s vision developed and they saw the need for expanded service offerings for the facilities of their customers as well as the need to provide more security, benefits and safety programs for their own team members. This vision could only be realized with the help of the right partner, which they saw in BGIS.

This partnership now allows for a full line of facility management services offering such as; inspections, underground testing, tank cleaning, construction and maintenance services to PES customers, and exemplifies the vision that was developed by Nathan and Dan five years prior.

Under the BGIS umbrella of companies, PES now has one of the most robust HR programs in the retail fuel business in the state of Texas, a rapidly changing safety culture that adheres to the BGIS standards which have both improved talent acquisition capabilities and the retention of highly competent individuals.

With the collective capabilities between BGIS and PES, there is a strengthened value and service delivery to all customers in Texas. BGIS’s extensive array of services, targeted at multi-site fuel and convenience store retailers is second to none and we are excited to take those combined capabilities to the market.
