KODAK, Tenn.—Buc-ee’s broke ground last week for what is billed as the world’s largest convenience store—a 74,000-square-foot Buc-ee’s Family Travel Center on a 200-acre site in Sevierville, Tennessee, 6ABC WATE.com reports.

The forecourt will have 120 fueling positions, EV charging stations and a car wash. Developers are reportedly looking at adding a distillery and a golf and go-cart attraction to the site. This will be the second Tennessee location for Texas-based Buc-ee’s, which is constructing a 53,400-square-foot store with 120 fueling spots in Crossville, expected to open in 2023.

The ceremony was hosted by site developers Kituwah LLC and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

Among other things, Buc-ee’s is known for its clean bathrooms, fresh food and wide variety of merchandise and gifts.

Founded in 1982 and based in Lake Jackson, Texas, Buc-ee’s has 52 convenience stores, mostly in Texas.
