Fuels Summit Sets Record Attendance in Rockwall
This month the Texas Food & Fuel Association held its 3rd annual Fuels Summit in Rockwall, TX at the Hilton Hotel Rockwall/Lakefront. The two day event offered 5 educational sessions, 2 networking events, a margarita and salsa making contest, and a designated vendor area for sponsors. Congratulations to Rob Reusink of LBT, Inc. and Duane Arbuckle of Anco Insurance who impressed the judges and each won a $100 gift card.
Attendance set a new record with over 160 of the brightest minds coming together to engage in educational sessions designed to address issues impacting to the petroleum and convenience retailing industries in Texas.
In all, businesses in attendance represented over 1,000 convenience store sites and account for more than 4.1 billion gallons of gasoline and diesel sold in Texas.
Education topics ranged from price gouging, upcoming ELD transportation mandates, Hurricane Harvey, and much more. Additionally, the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) joined a panel to discuss and answer questions regarding House Bill 2174 and new requirements for fuel quality testing and meter calibrations.
