The Texas Food & Fuel Association and industry partners held a conference call this morning (9/1/17) with the Office of the Governor Greg Abbott to discuss providing critical fuel supply relief to areas around the state that were not in Hurricane Harvey's immediate path.

Within a 36-48 hours period, drivers in Texas engaged in "panic buying" gasoline and diesel. As a result, the fuel distribution industry has been challenged with fulfilling an increase in fuel demand during a time when supply is strained.   The large coordinated effort includes assistance from outside of the state of Texas.
