LIST: Hurricane Harvey shelters now open in Austin

As city officials prepare for Hurricane Harvey to make landfall, the city has opened its first shelters for evacuees from the storm, according to the Travis County Emergency Operations Center.

People who evacuate due to the storm can go to the following locations in Austin for shelter:

  • Delco Center at 4601 Pecan Brook Drive
  • LBJ/LASA High School at 7309 Lazy Creek Drive

Additional shelters will open as needed. Follow the City of Austin's Twitter account for updates.

As active shelter information and weather change, the city will rely on the following phone numbers to communicate the most recent information: 311 or 512-974-200 for non-emergencies and 911 for emergencies.
