Obituary for Hairston Doak Neal
Long time TFFA member Hairston Doak Neal, 68, of San Antonio, passed away at home on December 25, 2022.
Doak was born on October 9, 1954 to Henry Doak and Jane Neal in San Antonio. After he graduated from Winston Churchill High School in 1972, he went on to serve as president of Neal Inc. until his retirement.
Doak was an avid hunter and loved sharing tales from weekends on the family ranch and his safari in Africa. He enjoyed attending drag car and boat races with his son and brothers. However, Doak’s true passion was flying. From piloting ultralight planes to flight tours in Alaska with his children, he loved to be in the sky. Doak will be remembered for always sharing a smile and a laugh with those around him.
Doak was predeceased by his mother and father. He is survived by his children, Wesley Neal and Alyssa Low; sisters, Luis Jane Neal, Shannon Dakin, and Grayson Neal; brothers, Clint and Shane Neal; step-mother, Loretta Neal; and one grandson, Penn Low.
Services will be held at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North on Cherry Ridge at 12:00pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2022. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park North on IH-10W. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Doak’s honor to The American Diabetes Association.
