Texas motor fuels retailers have purchased more than 202,000 of the new Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation consumer information stickers.

TDLR appreciates those of you who have already complied with state law and affixed the new stickers to your gas pumps.

As a reminder, Texas fuel retailers were required to display the TDLR consumer information sticker and to remove the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) stickers starting Dec. 1, 2020. (The motor fuel metering and quality program fully transferred from TDA to TDLR on Sept. 1, 2020.)

Service companies and service technicians should not sell or attach TDA stickers to fuel cabinets.

If you haven’t ordered your new Texas-shaped TDLR consumer information stickers, you can do that online: https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/stickers. The stickers include information about the amount of state and federal taxes charged for every gallon of fuel sold, as well as the department’s telephone number, and a QR code that consumers can use to file a complaint with TDLR regarding the quality or quantity of fuel that was sold, or report a suspected skimmer.
  • Once you’ve received your new TDLR stickers, completely remove the previous TDA motor fuel consumer information stickers.

  • Place the new TDLR consumer information sticker in a prominent area on each fuel dispenser.
  • Replace any damaged or illegible stickers within 30 days of discovering the issue.

Please note: TDLR uses email to deliver invoices, renewal notices and other important program information. Please make sure your email is current in our records – and be sure to add us as a trusted sender so that our emails to you don’t end up in your spam folder. Change your info here: https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/ContactInfoUpdate/LicenseProgram.aspx.

Thanks for all you do to help fuel Texas and Texans. We look forward to working with each of you in the future to help protect consumers by providing them with the correct contact information for reporting skimmers or other fuel-related issues.
