TDLR Issues New
Pump Sticker / Decal

• Today is a landmark day for us: we’re debuting the new Consumer Information Sticker (as seen above) at four news conferences across the state. I’m excited that the sticker reflects the importance of your industry as well as our Texas heritage. The sticker also contains safety messages for Texas consumers. You can order new stickers for $1 per sticker by visiting our website at https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/fmq/fmq.htm.
• The new stickers also include a “Protect the Pump” cue to look for possible tampering with a pump that could indicate that a credit card skimmer may have been placed on the fuel device. Please remember that you should notify your local police agency and TDLR if you suspect any skimmer activity.
• We’ll soon announce the members of the new Motor Fuels Workgroup, which will be made up of fuel industry members and representatives of TDLR and the Texas Department of Agriculture. We’ll send information on the date and location of the workgroup’s first meeting. I hope you will attend. We want and need your input on the proposed rules for the program.
• TDLR employees are performing motor fuel inspections, processing fuel-related consumer complaints and investigating motor fuel quantity, fuel quality, and pricing complaints.
• The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) is temporarily handling registration of motor fuel devices, licensed service companies and service technicians, distributors, wholesalers, jobbers, and suppliers under TDLR’s authority. We will soon transition this part of the program over to TDLR permanently.
