Texas Adoption of Underground Storage Tank Rule Revisions Finalized
The proposed rule changes stem from EPA’s changes that were adopted by EPA in 2015. Those changes were the first major amendments to the Federal EPA rules since the original rule was adopted in October 1988.
The effective date of the changes to the TCEQ UST rules will be 20 days from the date of publishing the adopted rule. However, there are a number of the new requirements which will not take effect until January 1, 2021.
The adopted rules are to be on or about May 25th. Once those are published, TFFA will send a complete review of the rules changes out to the membership.
