Texas DPS Declares Statewide Emergency, Issues Exemption from Parts 390 through 399 of Title 49 (FMCSA Regulations)

The Texas Department of Public Safety has declared a statewide emergency exists which justifies an exemption from Parts 390 through 399 of Title 49 (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations). This includes, but is not limited to, power grid repairs and delivery of groceries, fuel, propane and other essential products.

The emergency declaration will take effect at 12:01 a.m., February 01, 2023, and will remain in effect for the duration of the emergency (as defined in Title 49, CFR, Part 390.5) or for five days, ending at 11:59 p.m., February 05, 2023, whichever is less.
