TFFA Travels to North Texas, Distributes Free Expo Passes

This week, TFFA embarked on a 3 day guerrilla marketing blitz to hand out free passes for the upcoming 2019 SW Fuel & Conv. Expo. With a focus on the North Texas market, TFFA traveled over 650 miles and made stops in Sherman, Irving, Melissa, Plano, The Colony, Dallas, Fort Worth, Waxahachie, Garland, and several cities in between.

In Texas, 64% of c-stores are independently owned and operated — reaching small business owners, much less convincing them to attend a tradeshow, is a challenge. Nonetheless, reaching out in person and making a face-to-face connection with the industry your serve is a great way to supplement an organization's digital and print marketing strategy.

Along the way TFFA nearly made it to Oklahoma, visited the newest Buc-ee’s, had some local eats, discovered a new retailer in the Texas market, visited with newly appointed CEO of Empire Petroleum Rick Golman and team, and picked up a few items for the PAC Silent Auction.

Special thanks to Douglass Distributing, North Texas Business Alliance, Alon/Delek US Holdings, Inc., Empire Petroleum Partners, LLC, Classic Star Group, and Victron Energy, Inc for taking time out of your schedules to meet. These six companies are distributing passes to thousands of retailers who serve millions of customers each year — and for that, we are truly grateful!
