TFFA Update on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

TFFA Members,
I wanted to take a moment to give you an update on a serious issue: COVID-19 (Coronavirus). The health and safety of the retail and wholesale fuel community is our highest priority.
We understand that you may be experiencing stress given the rapidly changing information on travel restrictions and canceled or postponed public and private events. We want you to know that we are actively monitoring the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation closely, keeping those who are affected in our hearts, and listening carefully to the questions and concerns we receive from members and exhibitors.
At the moment, TFFA has ZERO plans to cancel or postpone the Southwest Fuel & Convenience Expo, scheduled for June 23rd and 24th in San Antonio. Several years ago, the association made the decision to move our Expo from May to June, which has certainly worked in our favor as of right now. While we are closely monitoring the fall out of the virus, it is too soon in our opinion to make a call to cancel or postpone the expo. We will all know more in the coming month and will address it again in mid-April, after evaluating the situation at that time. Exhibit registration remains strong and we remain optimistic about a successful and well-attended expo. We are in the process of putting together a plan of action for booth refunds/cancellations, in the event this pandemic continues to spread and wreak havoc.
Our concern continues to be for our members, exhibitors, and attendees, and we certainly do not want to put anyone in harm's way. Assuming the situation will be controlled soon, we need you more than ever to make plans to attend the expo in June. We encourage your registration, which is free to attendees (excludes non-exhibiting vendors). Register today.

In addition, we are in contact with the Governor’s office to stay ahead of any panic buying on fuel, such as we saw in the fall of 2017.
