WINTER STORM: TX DPS DECLARES EMERGENCY - ISSUES 5 DAY WAIVER

TEXAS DPS DECLARES EMERGENCY, ISSUES 5 DAY WAIVER FOR HOURS OF SERVICE FOR DELIVERY OF EMERGENCY SUPPLIES INCLUDING FUEL.
Texas DPS Director Steve McCraw notified carriers throughout the state that due to the ongoing winter storm conditions, DPS had issued a waiver for compliance with Parts 390-399 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations for commercial carriers responding to emergency conditions for the delivery of fuel and other essential items.

THIS WAIVER IS STATEWIDE IN COVERAGE.  THE WAIVER WILL BE IN EFFECT FROM TODAY (FEBUARY 3, 2022) through the end of the emergency or 5 days, (FEBRUARY 7th, 11:59 p.m.), whichever is less.
